How did this all
happen?
Erick
Johnson happened to show up at one of Chava Cannon's open mics one night
in August 2009. He happened to hear her perform one of the songs she wrote
for NATN Seeds, the non-profit organization that runs the Coffee Shop they
were having the open mic at. He thought it would be a great idea if a
bunch of us songwriters got together and wrote songs like that, and then
made a cd for the charity and he approached her. They discussed it and
Erick volunteered his
time and his studio to make the project happen! Then Chava took the ball
and ran with it!!! Songwriters For A Cause was born and we are currently
working on our first CD for a cause!!!

2009
We have selected our first Songwriters for a Cause Project. Songwriters For A
Cause is proud to support NATN
SEEDS, a non-profit organization that educates and helps battered and abused
women. NATN SEEDS also runs and operates Cup O'Karma coffee shop in Mesa. For

12 songwriters - 12 original songs, compiled on one CD helping a special cause!
WOW what a line up with more to come!!!! This project is currently in the works.
Soon all the songs will be done and our first CD will be available to anyone who
would like to support NATN Seeds! 100% of the CD sales will go directly to
this wonderful charity! |
